Last Saturday we spent some time down at the beach side next to Balaton. It’s cool now and almost empty although the Siofok Marathon had attracted more visitors than we normally seem to see this time of year.

The morning and evening temperatures are in the minus now but most days the sun still shines and the dry cold here is really quite nice.

In Eindhoven I usually stay in the Eden Crown, it’s central, pleasant and the staff are friendly. Last trip out there was a swimming event and all the hotels in the centre of the city were fully booked. We ended up in the Collse Houve in Neunen. It is small, has bags of character, pleasant, the staff are friendly and the walls were carpeted.
