About

The tystie is a black guilliemot, commonly seen on cliffs around the better parts of the UK. It also seems to be quite a popular name for boats. For a number of years a small boat called Tystie was the main link between the Island of Bressay and Lerwick on the mainland of Shetland. I lived on Bressay during my primary school years and took the environment it offered for granted. Some people will probably read something into this choice of a domain name, it was my second choice my first, ‘dolmen’ was taken.
